Burger Bar

Okay, so we throw a July 4th BBQ, and we do burgers and dogs.  I'm thinking of having a burger bar.

Toppings for burgers and dogs that everyone can customize.  What would you want use if you were at one.

Trying to think of different toppings to include.

Re: Burger Bar

  • Sabrett has onions in sauce which are awesome for hot dogs & burgers (I usually pick it up at Wegmans). As far as toppings...we usually have different types of cheeses, tomato, lettuce, sauteed onions and bacon. Anytime we serve hot dogs I put out chili as well.

I am sure if you look on-line some magazine has done ultimate burger party menus too. That seems much much easier.

  • My favorite burger toppings: ketchup, mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, pickle slices, lettuce, maybe some sauteed mushrooms

Stuff that other people like: fried onions, cheese (American, provolone, Monterey Jack, mozzarella, blue cheese, Swiss), roasted red peppers, mustard, flavored mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, Thousand Island dressing, tomato slices, avocado, bacon, honey mustard, hot sauce/buffalo wing sauce

Good side items: pickles, potato salad (we found a great recipe that uses pickle juice, bacon and hard-boiled eggs), onion rings or onion straws, baked potato, fries, sweet potato fries, noodle salad, cole slaw
