I made the desert you mentioned and just wanted to tell you thank you, it's my new go to easy snacky desert.  I'm having it with coffee this morning and it's delicious.  At first it has an icy texture that's not that great but once it sits at room temp for about 5 minutes that goes away.  I'm wondering if it's because my yogurt is 99% fat free yogurt?  And I'm wondering if I put the leftover in the fridge instead of the freezer it will get too runny?  Either way, it's great!  I tried to give it a little health kick to negate the Cool Whip, so I sprinkled about 2 Tbsp of flax seed onto the graham cracker crust first which also adds a little nutty flavor.  Then I took half the yogurt and blended it with fresh strawberries and marbled that with the vanilla yogurt.  To serve I cut up frest strawberries to sprinkle on top.  For July 4th you could also do a third of the batch with blueberries.  I'm about to have my 3rd slice :)

  • I am going to butt in because, well, this board is slow and Macy is napping and I think I have searched the whole entire internet in the past hour and I am out of places to stick my nose in.....

    Holy run on sentence.

But anyway, the other day I took some blueberries and coated them in honey Greek yogurt and froze them until the yogurt hardened and them had them as a snack.  Oh my goodness those things are delicious!  And I don't even like yogurt or blueberries!  I can thank my friend Pinterest for that awesome idea.  Anyway, you should try, it's a healthy/yummy snack and is quick to make.

  • I'm glad you liked it!  I usually let it rest a few minutes, but I have it saw I like it ice cold. It will get fairly running if you let it sit in the fridge for too long, so be careful.  The coolwhip doesn't set that hard.  I've tried it with all different kinds of fruits and it tastes great.  Blueberries hold up great!  I just prefer strawberries because they are my favorite berry!  It's a great go to dessert, for sure!

I think Beckett would love that. How exactly did you do it. Just dip them in the yogurt and then freeze on a plate?
