Is there a type of grass that requires alot of water? I ask because our back yeard is always wet. I thought maybe if I added a bit of grass that is a water hog, it could absorb some excess water.
Re: grass question
You may have a tough time finding one. I was just in the grass seed aisle and most bags were advertising needing less water consumption rather than more. You could ask a local nursery for recommendations.

From a horticultural standpoint, ALL turfgrasses are water hogs, but that's not the solution here. You have a bog situation, not a lawn situation.
