DW and I are thinking of relocating here, if the job hunt goes successfully. We used to live here a few years back and after much consideration it's certainly the place we want to be. Any ideas on what neighborhoods we shouldn't consider living in? We aren't so sure. . .

Re: Sacramento Ladies
I should of updated you. The offer fell through and DW has some potentials in Sacramento.
We currently live about 30 minutes from Sacramento proper and we're relatively new to the area.
What I can tell you is what the ladies on the NorCal board told me last year when I asked a similar question. Where you want to live depends largely on where you'll be working, how open to a commute you are, whether you want to be able to use public transportation, and what your budget is. For example, H works in Rocklin (east of Sac proper). We wanted to be a 1/2 hour from there and wound up farther east, in the foothills, due to rental affordability and the fact that we have 3 pets - it's hard to find a landlord willing to rent to someone with three animals.
What I'd do is ask the ladies on the NorCal board and make sure to put in as much info as you can. The board's gone quieter lately, but I think most people still lurk and will pitch in to answer your questions. And there are quite a few girls there from the Sacto area.
