Anyone else have a dog who loves rolling around in the mud? When I take Ajax to the dog park, he makes a beeline for the muddiest hole he can find and sticks his face in it. He is usually the only one doing it!
Here is what he starts out looking like (on the left):

Here he is last weekend:

And this weekend, trying to go camo:

I've had to give him a bath every week, but it's worth it - he loves his muddy time!

Re: Muddy dog (PIP)
ajax seems to have quite the appropriate name, then! ;-)
he and my pup, henry, would get along just fine. if it's stinky or dirty, henry is in it.

@jen: thanks, we think he?s pretty handsome, too!
@mainerocks: fortunately there is a hose at the park, and I have a seat cover for the car. He still needs a full bath when we get home, though!
His light coat definitely shows everything, but I do love watching him enjoy himself getting dirty. And the clean puppy smell after a bath isn't too bad, either!
Beau does that at the dog park whenever it rains, and sadly there is no hose, so we end up putting him on the extendable leash and let him run into the pond about half an acre away. He's a true wallower, although for whatever reason a lot of GSPs are as well at the dog park. If it's rained and we go when other GSPs are there, they all fight for a good wallow.
Nasty dogs... hahaha.
He looks like he is having the time of his life!
Mine find a lot of mud or splash in the small lakes every time we take them to the park, but at least the dog park has hoses w/ sprayers in stalls so you can wash them there.
