50 Shades is terrible

What's with the conversations with her subconscious?  It's a mixture of sniffley woe is me and buck up.  Chick seems bi-polar.  My subconscious usually just tells me to stop being nuts.  Hers seems to alternate between stop being nuts and sniffing the crazy glue.

  • I was seriously amused to see paperback versions in my Target on Saturday.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
  • I still want to read it. I just reserved a copy from my library. How embarrassing will that be when I check it out? (My local library ladies are all these goody-two-shoes book snobs.)
  • SMACE emailed me the PDF of it. It's kind of tame saucy in parts. It's basically Twilight writing with a little bad porn thrown in. If she writes like this, then I think I could write a book that's 10x better and be a kajillionaire.

  • I stopped reading it.  I think I made it through three chapters.  It is making my brain bleed and I'm the least snobby person about grammar and whatnot.

  • I just went to reserve it online at the library. I am number 151 in line!
    LOL

There are going to be a lot of horndog moms at the pool this summer.

Me too. My friend let me borrow it and I'm going to start it when I'm done with the book I'm reading.

  • My H and I take turns choosing books to read out loud to each other. I'm thinking about really talking this book up and saying how great it is and seeing how long it takes him to strangle me for choosing it.

I doubt this is going to turn many of those moms on--it's the least arousing erotic fiction I've ever read.  It is just godawful--I can only stand to read about 15 minutes at a time.

I was #770 and I'm now down to the 500's.

Luckily my library is all self checkout. :)
