hair color ideas.

I currently have brown hair on top, and black underneath. (Sorry I don't have any pics.) I have almost shoulder length hair, and I'm getting bored with it. For some reason my black seems to fade really fast, I colored it about a month ago and it's faded into a dark brown, so it's not as dramatic as I'd like. Any ideas for a change?

Re: hair color ideas.

  • I don't know if it will work with your skin tone, but I always love red.  It does tend to fade so have to take good care of it to prevent that.

  • I like the suggestion of red too.  I have black hair so I know it's hard to find colors to compliment the black but a caremel or burgandy red always looks good with my hair.  I also love the cherry cola color as well with some lighter brown/blonde highlights. Great summer colors.
  • I've had red before, and LOVED it! I went back to my natural brown for the summer, living in Florida I knew the red would fade within a week. I was trying to find more ideas, but red has kinda become my go to color. I really love burgundy red, and I think it would look good with the black underneath.

Thank you ladies, I think I have the push I need to finally do it again.

  • hi, I think you can find some ideas for a change here: http://haircolorsnstyles.com/funky-hair-color-ideas-2012/

  • If you still want a dramatic difference between the underneath and top, you could go lighter, possibly red on top and still do the black underneath.  Make sure you're using a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair.
