Dinner with friends (ole!)...

so we are going to dinner with some friends (more H's friend, I've yet to meet the wife) and we were wanting Mexican. I've been to Ted's, and H and I are meh about it. I've heard good things about Mamaroja and there is an Alfredo's close to us. What is the best? (there will be kids involved if that changes anything).

I have been to Mama Roja's twice since it opened and it was really good both times!

I've never been to Mama Rojas, but I've only heard good things about it. Alfredo's is becoming our favorite Mexican restaurant lately. I bet you can't go wrong with either one.

Trust me, it is worth the drive.  I am worried it will run Ted's out of business it is THAT good.

Carlito's in Yukon is really good and kid friendly.  It's on Main between mustang road and czech hall in pretty sure

Abel's IS really fresh and tasty - and there's a lot of open space for larger groups.

My favorite mexican food in the metro area is Tarahumara's in Norman. I'm dying to try Chuy's, though!

Seriously, stick with Abel's. I like Mama Roja's just fine, but Abel's is more authentic and you can get several kinds of salsa there, as well.

We went to Abel's and everyone was very pleased (and super full!) with his/her food. H thought the cheese dip could be better, but it is free cheese. Thanks for the recs!!!
