I really hate my job.

In the bgeinning I liked it.  The I got to know my boss and she's crazy.  My dad thinks she's bi-polar! LOL!!! Everything always has to be so formal,  I'm always wrong.  She critiques ( yea I know sp?) everything I do.  'm just frustrated.  I want to et on her and talk to ya'll, but hse says that shes tired of seeing me on the computer.  So I read what ya'll write but I can't respond for fear that she'll hear me type.  I'm still here though.  I kinda want to go back to school.  I hate my career path.  I'm not happy.  Do ya'll like your job?  What do you do?  What do you really want to do?

Re: I really hate my job.

  • I'm sorry you're having a rough time!

I don't like my job either.  It can get very complicated and alot to take in sometimes.  I always have to ask my boss and coworker questions and I'm sure they get tired of me asking them questions all the time.  I'm just not very confident in this job and I've been doing it for 2 years and I have always felt this way.  I just hope it passes soon.  I am planning on going back to school in a couple of years when DH gets his degree, so hopefully I'll finally do something I enjoy.

    Siggy coming soon....
  • I'm so sorry you have a crazy boss!

I'm a 4th grade teacher at a private school.  I love it, but teaching was always my calling.  There are other things that I wouldn't mind doing though.  Especially now that we are trying to start a family.  I would like to stay home with my child until they start school, and I really might at least their first year. But I also don't want to get bored.  Here are a few other things I have considered.  Real estate (if the market ever gets better), working in a library, or the ultimate dream for me that I hope to one day pursue is to open up a tea room in a historic house.

Good luck with whatever path you choose and I really hope things get better for you soon. Smile

  • I'm sorry you're having a rough time at work. I used to work in corporate marketing, and, while I was good at it and enjoyed it at first, I didn't get any satisfaction out of it. I think you need to make a list of what you want out of a career and then match your interests to that. That's what I did and it helped me focus a lot.?

I'm in school now to get my masters in speech-language pathology and I love it so far. Good luck! It's hard.
