Back to square one on the name front. Neighbor informed me that the other neighbors dog that died a couple years ago was named Lainey. EFF. Now it's a dog name...wonderful. H is pretty out on the name now. Glad I'm not due next week.
Anyone like Lilah? Maribelle? Shitttt. I got nothin.
Re: Efffffff
Lilah is cute.
I also like Mable. My aunt's name is Mable. She's 30...and hip, so I kind of think it's an awesome name.
Nella?
Margo?
Sadie?
I like older sounding names so I love Ruby, Clara, Evelyn, and Esther.
ETA: I also think Cora and Stella are really cute names too.
I like Lila/Lilah. What about Layla? Here's some random names for you: Stella, Marley, Ella, Brinkley, Evelyn/Evie, Sophia (getting popular though), Jocelyn, Josie, Ellery, Emersyn, Avery....I'll keep thinking.
I still really like Lainey. I hope neighbor wont bring it up a million times that it was her old dog and maybe I can still feel okay about using it. Lol. I hate every name. Girls are hard. Keep the suggestions coming!!
Drillers, I suggested Layla to h a while back and he immediately said "I will not name my daughter something that rhymes with lay ya". He's so difficult.
I loved Naomi until H vetoed it because it's "I moan" backwards. Eye roll.
Cora was my great grandmothers name ami, so that would have been a possibility. Until my friend named her daughter that just recently.
Mable is cute TJ!! I bet her name fits her. I don't think it sounds old at all.

I don't know if this is your style at all, but if we were going to have more babies, I would love Aurora (nicknamy Rory) for a girl. I love Stella, but it seems to be getting pretty popular. I know several baby girls with that name.
Have you tried this site? http://www.nymbler.com/ I loved it so much when we were looking for names.
Finley.
Quinn.
I love baby names.
I'm thinking that T is as difficult to discuss baby names with as S is. I feel your pain (and hope you still get to use Lainey!). I'm sure I'll have some more random names to share later
I am LOLing at your H's comments re: Layla and Naomi. I never would have thought of those associations. I love Naomi! What about Nora? That's at the top of our list for a girl, but I'll share it
Love Nora, but it's my first cousin's daughter's name.
I wish Harper wasnt so popular...because its really cute.
Love Talia...it's my friend's sisters name
Dalia is beautiful too.
I say who cares about the neighbors dead dog. Don't let that dictate your baby name or you'll never find one! I really like Lainey.
Mila, Ryann, Brynn, Brenna, Hannah, Blakely, Molly, Lucy, Reagan, Kinley, Adalyn, Tessa.
Have you checked out the baby name lists on the Social Security Administration website? It's really helpful for ideas and to see how popular the name is.
Yeah - I'd definitely still use Lainey if you both love it! Just about any name could be considered a dog name, really. One of my top boy names is the same as a name we used for a dog we briefly had.
IMO, people names are more important, and if you had a kid named Lainey, I don't think you'd think about the dog. But - I get that maybe my opinion on that isn't the norm.
Lilah/Lila is lovely, but it's pretty popular right now. Especially *with* the 'h.' Maribelle is cute, I think, and I love the nn "Mari" (pronounced m-ah-ri). I second PP who recommended nymbler. I found some great names that way back when we were TTC.
I vote you just name her Tater.
(in all seriousness, I still love Lainey too)
