When did your m/s start?

I am so anxious about this!  I drive a ton for my job and then I am in kids houses, so I am nervous that I will either a) get sick in the car, or b) get sick at a kids house and raise suspicions from the families I work with

  • My m/s started at 6 weeks on the dot. Hopefully you will be able to manage your symptoms and not get sick on the job!

  • Weeks 6-8 were the worst, but then it picked up again around 11 weeks for a week or so.  I was lucky to only feel nauseous and not actually barf.  Maybe you'll be lucky and not get any at all!

  • Mine started around 6 weeks and ended right around 15 weeks. However I was constantly taking zofran to manage it. Once I took the zofran I was fine and could eat, I'd at least ask for a prescription in case you need it.

  • I started around 6-7weeks and ended around 14-15 weeks.

FWIW I wouldn't worry about it, some people never get it at all, and you can't do much to control it anyway. You will learn to adapt. I am a teacher and I was able to breath through the nauseau while my students were in the room and would quickly walk across the hall to the bathroom during our 3 minute class change. I could puke and be back at my door before kids started to fill up the room. You will find a way to make it through.

  • 6w1d (it was the day after our 6w u/s). It didn't fade until after 16w. I threw up at work a few times. If I wasn't throwing up I was down right miserable and barely getting by. I was so unproductive I had to get a "talk" somewhere around 13-14w because I had fallen so behind. I felt awful. I just sat and tried not to move. The days I threw up usually had me staring at the garbage can for a long time because I knew it was going to happen eventually and when it didn't I moved to the bathroom for power of suggestion.

Now they I have reminded myself of those days I need to keep that in mind on the days I want to be pregnant again. I don't know how I survived that, let alone how I do that while taking care of a kid and not being able to curl up in bed.

Thanks to our wonderful RE our family is complete!

It doesn't, I'm at 25 weeks and I just started to relax (a little). I wished to just relax, but I never could. Feeling them move makes it a little better.

I was throwing up sick everyday from 6weeks- 22ish. My cramps were horrible for the first few weeks, my nipples were sore for a long time...

It does get better, but it took a long time!

Im so glad you're here :)

This x 2. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones as well. Try not getting worked up over something you aren't experiencing and have no control over.  I know it's easier said than done though.

  • I was horribly nauseous all through the 1st tri, but didn't get sick. I started getting sick every morning in the second trimester, I think around 14 weeks.
  • I felt horrible from 6 weeks to 11 weeks. Finally at 13 weeks I started feeling normal again. However, I never threw up.

My friend didn't have any morning sickness at all.

  • I've only gotten nauseous...no throwing up...yet. Haha. Usually I feel horrible for the first part of the morning until I get hungry for lunch and then in the evenings after dinner.
  • I never really had much more than queasiness, but when that flared up, Sea Bands and hard candy were my friend.

I still have yet to throw up, but the nausea started a little before 6 weeks. I felt the worst at 7 weeks and then felt better my 8th week. The rest is TBD.

This is how it is for me so far. I feel better this week and I hope that the nausea stays away!
