I hate teething

Ava Nichol has two teeth that she got at 7 1/2mo and 8mo. Now she is working on tooth number three and has been teething bad for 2 weeks. She has a rash, is super snotty, super cranky, not napping well and only wants to eat cold fruit and noodles. Teethers aren't working anymore because it hurts to the touch. It is all red and puffy and almost raw. It might be raw because it is a top one pushing through and she has the bottom two there.

I just can't wait for this tooth to pop through and I can't imagine going through this for the rest of her teeth! She still has so many to go :(

Re: I hate teething

  • Aw, poor Ava!  Lucy has 4 teeth now and I'm hoping we have a good break before any new ones show up.  Hope that thing pops through soon so you can both have some relief!

  • Poor baby!  I hope it pops through soon.
  • I also hate teething! So far M only has 2 bottom teeth but I think she's working on the top ones. She really likes to chew on frozen wash cloths, have you tried that?

  • I feel you! DS is cutting 2, possibly 3 teeth right now. My normally great sleeper has been up every night for the last week. One tooth looks like it has popped so hopefully relief is in sight.

He doesn't really use teething toys, and the only thing that works for us is medicine

  • Kaiene- I am definitely not afraid to use a little tylenol and/or orajel...of course in moderation! The only teether she will use is if we put an ice cube in her mesh feeder.

  • Poor kiddo!  I had some moms say the top were much worse than the bottoms.  Hopefully they pop through soon and she gets some relief.
