Plans for the 4th?

What do ya'll have planned for the 4th of July? Will you be seeing fireworks? Going to a bbq? Or working?

My in-laws are having a party with extended family. It's for the 4th but my MIL planned it knowing that the baby would be here and everyone could meet her. She began planning this way back at Christmas time. I'm not really too excited because it's with FIL's side of the family and I don't really know them too well at all. It will be nice though. There will be good food and they have a pool. It'll be my first time swimming since my c-section. I've been dying to get in a pool. We probably won't be seeing fireworks because we'll want to get Liliana home at a decent time. I'll miss seeing fireworks but we'll probably get a glimpse of some on our way home.

Happy 4th everyone!

Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.

  • We are hoping to be having our own fireworks happen. We would love for Abigail to be born tomorrow. If she's not, I am going to convince DH to go see fireworks. He's afraid they will hurt Abby's ears, even though she is safe inside me. My mom said maybe they will scare her out. So we'll see.

I have the CUTEST 4th of July outfit from my MIL to put Abby in! I would love to use it on the 4th!!!!

  • I have to work. I had it off at my old store but this store decided to schedule me. = (

It's a sore spot with me. I get out at 8, which is enough time to enjoy a bonfire and watch T light off the fireworks we bought. But then I have to be back in at 5am. It's going to be a tough and tiring couple of days.

But, once I get out at 12pm on Friday, I don't have to be back in until 2pm Sunday. So T and I plan on going to a drive in.

  • Went to J's extended family for the day for a cookout, and got the news that his cousin is expecting! It was a great day. Now I am stressfully trying to get everything done that I need to for the beach.

  • Jared and I had just relaxing day in. We have the perfect view of the Seattle Space Needle and South Lake Union from our apartment, so we were able to enjoy all of Seattle's fireworks from the comfort of our living room. Grilled some vegetarian Boca burgers on an open panini press. All good :)

Sounds like everyone else had a great time! I'm so jealous of all the BBQs and cookouts! I so badly want bbq food. Living in an apartment has it's perks but definitely has several drawbacks.
