Thanks for all the advice yesterday. I was hoping it was maybe the white coat syndrom, so today I rechecked it and it was a little higher than yesterday. I'm going to watch it tomorrow too and if its higher again tomorrow I'm going to call the doc. He didn't ask me to check it, but now that I have I want to keep it monitored. Good thing its a lazy saturday!
PS- is pre-eclampsia genetic? My mom had it with me. I dont have protein or swelling/headaches. Just curious.
Re: new BP reading
no, not genetic. also, you can have pregnancy induced hypertension and not pree. that's what i had. i didn't have protein or headaches and the swelling had been going on but wasn't too awful until they pumped me full of a billion bags of fluids so who knows what was going on after that. but i was somewhat high during the failed induction, but that wasn't why they induced me. the second, and real, induction was because when i went in for monitoring my BP was in the 170's. med's weren't bringing it down and they took away my walking privileges after the induction and water breaking happened and made me get in bed and lay on my side while they gave more meds, which did help the rest of delivery.
personally, i wouldn't wait to check tomorrow since two days in a row it has been high. i would call today and let them know and let them make the decision whether to continue to wait it out or not. high BP is nothing to mess with.

Normally my BP is half dead (super low)
Yesterday was 140/78 (first thing in the morning)
Today was 144/85 (right after eating lunch). It was on a drugstore machine...not sure if those are as sensitive as a nurse doing it.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Sorry it's still high. Are you on bed rest? Hopefully they would put you on bed rest first and monitor the protein in your urine before jumping to an induction.
My advice is to just lay down as much as possible, and stay out of the heat. For me, even walking from room to room made my BP sky rocket.
