Re: FFQ Monday
I think I have a few...Answer one, all or none. : )
1)Did anybody else who is/was Team Blue/Pink feel a little anxiety that they were wrong? I mean, I know what I saw on the A/S ultrasound but what if its not what we thought it was. Don't get me wrong, I will be thrilled with a girl or a boy. I guess I am just feeling guilty or wrong with purchasing boy clothes or boy things in case that Ida comes out instead of Arthur.
2) I know all doctor offices operate differently but did you have any other ultrasounds or anything towards the end of the pregnancy? I am 30 weeks and had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and A/S at 19 weeks.
3) Did any of you bring or want to bring champagne or a beer or something to the hospital to celebrate the delivery? I feel weird thinking about this but it just sounds so freeking good!
I will probably have a couple more...Feel like I have so many questions/thoughts running through my head lately.

1. I worried about it a little bit after the first u/s but we had so many after that, all confirming it, that I wasn't worried. Besides, we had out a/s at something like 22 weeks, and the u/s tech got such a good view, she seemed sure.
2. I was high risk, so I had a measuring u/s at about 30 weeks, 34 weeks and 38 weeks. I had an u/s to check baby weekly from about 32 weeks.
3. I wanted to bring some different things, but we didn't have them ready when my water broke. I think I would have brought something if we had made it to my planned c/s (I never thought in a million years I would get to go into labor - which I am actually so happy about). I think we would have brought some sparking grape juice or something. I had originally wanted to bring a birthday cake for him, but I don't think it would have been practical.

This is how I feel too. I will be 31 weeks Thursday and feel like I haven't had any Braxton Hicks. If you are weird....I am too! : )

2. I had a 9 week and a 19 week u/s and that was it.
3. I didn't bring anything to the hospital and I certainly didn't feel like drinking. i just wanted a pepsi and I couldn't even get all the way through that. I had a glass of wine about a month after and I couldn't even finish it.

At almost 35 weeks, I have not had any BH, well not that I know of. So I guess I am weird too..
I also have had no BH yet....(not that I'm aware of). My mom was feeling my stomach last night and said Em your stomach is really hard, are you having a BH, I said no it doesn't feel like it, because the lower part of my stomach was still soft, it was just from my belly button up.
Also I keep teasing MH that I want someone to bring me one of those margaritas that have a tiny bit of beer in them...whatever they are called, in a to go cup for me to drink. I highly doubt he'll do it, and I highly doubt I'll even think about it.
I think Mariah Carey had Children's Protective Services called to her hospital room because she had a celebratory champagne after birth. I will probably just wait the 26 hours until I get home!
That's silly, my hospital's welcome notebook welcomes you to bring champagne or wine to toast the birth of your new baby. I wouldn't do it, but I don't think anyone would call CPS because of it.

I asked at every u/s I had to make sure I was still having a boy.
I had u/s at 30, 34 and 38 weeks bc my fundal height was measuring four weeks or more behind. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have had additional ones.
I have yet to drink wine or champagne, even though Im dying for some wine, bc I am tired and groggy enough during the night. I don't need help.

I also had an ultrasound at 33 weeks as a growth scan, and then again at 35 weeks to make sure that Cora had flipped head down.
I think that in theory, having champagne to toast is nice (my family literally toasts for everything...my mother popped a bottle of champagne when they called my name at college graduation), but I think that if we had the balls to actually bring it to the hospital, I would have chickened out and felt really awkward and inappropriate. Almost like I was more concerned with drinking than the birth of my child. However, we also had a bunch of issues, so that might be swaying my opinion.
I had an u/s at 33 weeks because my fundal height was measuring behind as well.
My bh were not very noticeable at first, toward 35-36 weeks i felt them more often. They started out just in my lower belly usually, i didnt often feel them in my whole belly. My real contractions were the same way.
These are the same thoughts/feelings I have...I like the idea of it all but in reality would feel weird doing it.
