I'm beginning to hate Snapfish!

Not only because it seems like nothing ever works right with them (I can't get siggy pics to work) and not b/c my Christmas cards 2 years ago ended up looking green...but also because of the horrible customer service I just experienced.  Not sure if any of you heard about the free Custom Photo Book offer through Oprah that they just had, but I just went through h*ll trying to get it.  I worked all weekend trying to order it with the credit so it would be free, but no matter what I did I couldn't get the credit to show up.  I tried calling them, but there was an hour wait to talk to someone!!!  You had to place the offer before midnight on the 16th so I went ahead and placed the order in time even though it never showed the credit (I ordered 4 books...my total was over $100).  I figured that surely I could just call the next day and explain the situation and get the credit after the fact.  I have been trying to talk to someone there for 3 days and finally got through tonight.  I talked to a woman who didn't speak clear English and she had every reason under the sun why I couldn't get the credit.  I asked to speak to her Supervisor and she kept making up excuses as to why I couldn't speak to him.  I had to ask FOUR times before she finally transferred me.  I finally got him on the phone and started explaining everything and he cut me off and immediately said that he would credit my account.  I thanked him and proceeded to tell him how difficult that rep was and then (for whatever reason) he started asking me all these questions about when I heard about the offer, when I created my account, when I placed the order, etc and then said that I could not get the credit!  OMG!  By this point I was ready to jump through the phone.  I then told him that I was so frustrated that I was going to cancel my account and go with Shutterfly b/c I feel certain that they would offer better service.  He then agreed to give me the credit, but he made sure to say that it's NOT b/c I threatened to take my business elsewhere and that it's only b/c I have a good ordering history with them.  WTF? 

Sorry for such a long vent, but it always amazes when companies have such crappy customer service.  Plus, I wanted to pass this along so that no one else will have to go through what I just went through.  Save yourself some time and go with Shutterfly!

    i heard about the free book and mine is in process. i got an email saying the offer had been extended until this saturday (if you already had your credit)

    I hope i don't have that much trouble b/c i will for sure walk away

    i hate horrible customer service! 

  • I had a similar situation to this a few years ago and switched to Shutterfly and have loved them ever since!!!!  I hate Snapfish!!!  They didn't credit me for a promo offer even though the receipt I had the discounted price on it.  It took two months to get it settled!!!  I swore I would never do another thing with them.  I haven't had problems with Shutterfly and I hope you have a better experience with them.

  • I have used Shutterfly for a long time and love them. I haven't had any problems with them. I just thought that Shutterfly had better products.
  • I do NOT understand how some people stay employed these days!
  • Ugh! That's crappy. I have shutterfly and I love it. I never have any problems. Hope you get it worked out.

  • I'm sorry it has been so difficult for you! I have used both and like shutterfly's quality much better.  I have had to call customer service for Shutterfly before and have always had a pleasant outcome.  They also have a live chat with customer service people that is super easy to use.
