Is there a way for someone to search your license plate # and get your address??
Today on my way home from school this car in front of me on Rt 30 had a HUGE chunk of ice and snow fly off their car and hit mine. It scared me and I almost wrecked. I honked at them. Well they got behind me and started to follow me. I got off at one of the exits and went some really strange ways to see if they were following me and they went those ways too. At a stoplight he pointed to me and pointed to his eyes to let me know he was following me. Finally at one point I was able to get into a turning lane that he wasn't able to get into and turned and I think he lost sight of me, but I was so ready to call the police before that point. I had my phone in my hand. I knew better than to drive home but now I'm afraid they are going to search my license plate # and find my address and come to my house.
Why are people so mean sometimes??? Especially when it comes to driving! It is illegal in PA not to clear snow off your car and this is the 2nd time in 2 days that I got hit with ice and snow flying off of someone's car.

whoa. seriously though, what reason did he have to be pissed at you? because you HONKED? big deal! he was the jerk with snow/ice still on his car. im glad you were able to lose track of him.
i dont think there's a way for just anyone to look up license plates though.
I think only law enforcement or the DMV can do that.
I would have driven to a police station if there was one nearby.
I would have been freaked out too. I'm just waiting for the day this happens to me. I have major road rage.
What a jackass!! I think you will be fine, though. For my job we have to run people?s driver?s license numbers to get their driving record. We also have the option of finding out people?s plates. We have to have a subscription to this, as well as a permissible use. It is a process and not something just anyone can do.
If this ever happens again, do not hesitate in calling the police from your cell and tell them you are being followed. Also, if you know where one is, lead the guy to your local police station. He will leave you alone and will also know that you WILL get the police involved. I am sorry that happened. It?s scary and extremely frustrating that people can be such jerks.
I didn't get his plate number. I wish I had but when I honked at him I didn't know he'd then go crazy on me and by then he was only ever behind me.
I was thinking about leading him to a police dept but I saw a show a few years ago where a girl did the same thing and got out of her car to run into the police station and the guy ran after her and killed her before she could even get it so I was scared to death to get out of my car. I was just going to call the police and tell them the roads I was on so a squad car could find me and him. There was one on Market st just after I turned onto it so I know one was close by.

Oh, I wouldn't get out of the car either. I saw on one of my shows that usually they will just not follow you into the police parking lot. Then you could have lost him. I can't believe the jerks that live out there.
