Furniture Question

I am trying to pick out the tables for our shop and have narrowed it down to two choices.  The first one I like slightly more.  There will be about 8-10 tables in the shop and we would buy extra seats for this one:

Or this one.  They are booth counter height tables, and take up about the same space so that isn't a deciding factor:

Which do you guys like?  It's for a breakfast/lunch sandwich shop.  We will be offering waitress service the majority of the day and need to be able to do a quick table turnover.

Re: Furniture Question

  • I think the first tables will aid turnover,  because you really can't settle into a stool for a long conversation.  It will have a more open feel too.
  • So you did the get shop?! Details!

Hmmm. I think I like the 2nd one better only because little kids might have trouble staying on the backless stools. But the 2nd set is more home-y and might intice people to lounge a little longer. Not that great when you need quick turn over.

  • You would definitely have quicker turnover with the 1st set, but I personally don't like sitting on backless stools.   I guess I'm afraid I'll fall off.  lol!

  • Great point Eva.  I'll post details in another post. What about throwing something like this in the corners and using the stool seating throughout the middle?

  • Of the top two I like the second.

I like the corner booth too b/c it's good for families.

  • I like the first-it is more cafe looking. the other ones are more like a standard kitchen table in someone's house.
  • I do like the first ones better. They would def have more of a turn over rate because they wouldn't be as comfy as the chairs.  I think putting the booths in the corners would be a good solution for families with kids.  I'd be afraid of kids falling off of the stools.
  • I like the first ones. ?Even though there is no back to the chairs, I think they're okay for a quick bite to eat. ?The second set is more bulky and doesn't look as open and airy as the first.

  • I would probably do a combination of the corner booth and the first one with the stools.
