Has anyone seen Slumdog?

DH and I actually get a date night tomorrow night, and we are thinking about seeing this.  I would really rather see "he's just not that into you," but it doesn't come out until next week :(   So, does slumdog live up to the hype or is it overrated?

Re: Has anyone seen Slumdog?

  • I've heard that it's good and dh has a friend who saw it and said it was good.  I saw a clip of it on a talk show the other day and they showed a dance scene in which it looked kind of like a musical?
  • A co-worker saw it last weekend and highly reccommends it.
  • My mom just emailed me that she saw it and she says it is a real eye opener to how good we have it in our country, and a very good story.

  • I didn't see that, but we just saw Gran Torino- I thought that was really good!

  • Yes, I have seen it...best movie I've seen in a long time. It'a a great movie about the stuggles of men, sacrifice, perseverance, and over all else, love. I highly recommend seeing it.

BTW...the dance sequence is only at the very end of the movie (a nod to the whole "Bollywood" thing in a lot of Indian movies...however, this movie, while taking place in Mumbai, was actually written/produced by Britains)
