I ate two lunches today

So, I had a small bowl of pasta and a pear around 11:15 before I left for my interview.

I get to my interview around 1, and a half an hour into it, the guy is like, "so, let's get lunch!"

We were at lunch for 2.5 hours.  He kept ordering food...appetizers, lunch, dessert.

I ordered a chicken caesar for lunch, but there was cheese and these pork things, and then everyone (there were 4 of us total) wanted dessert, so a fruit crisp with ice cream for me.

Ugh, I am SO full.

I had told my husband that I would get stuff for dinner on my way home.  Well, I was so stuffed at the market that I just bought a piece of cheese and a loaf of bread. I didn't want to look around any more, I was so full. He's going to be home in 20 minutes, he will have to fend for himself because I am not eating.

At least the interview went well!

Re: I ate two lunches today

  • That is a funny story, but I am so sorry!  At least you've eaten the normal amount of meals.  If it were me, I'd be hungry again by like 8 pm, and then I'd be all sad.  You're awesome.

I had a heinous day, and after my class, I just came home and ordered pizza.  I got thin crust to cut a few calories, but I ate way too much.  Today may be a bad day, but one day is okay.

  • It sounds like the interview went well though, right?
  • I think it's a good sign that the interview took that long. And at least you have a funny story to show for it. Crossing my fingers for you!

If you saw the size of the dessert, you'd understand why I had no desire to eat again.  Oooooh but it was so delicious.  Blackberry and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream.  The scoop of ice cream was the size of a baseball.  I ate the whole thing it was so good.

I got hungry around 9:30, but I figured since I was exhausted, there was no point.  I just woke up and I'm ready to chew my own arm off, I'm so hungry.

The interview did go well.  The job, while not perfect, would be so much of an improvement over my current situation that I can barely contain myself with anticipation.  He told me he would call me this morning.  I hope "this morning" means 9:00 and not 11:30.  I don't want to wait!

  • Hehe. At least you were eating a second lunch for a good cause.

My fingers are crossed for you!
