Buffalo Chicken Dip ?

I hope someone's around that can help me :)

I plan on making BCD today for the game and wanted to keep it in the crockpot...never did it this way before, but I know it can be done.  My question: do I make it the regular way (putting it together, baking it) then transfer it to the crockpot OR can I just put it all together in the crockpot right from the start?  If I can put it in the crockpot right from the start, at what temp. should I start it out at and for how long?

Thanks ladies!

Re: Buffalo Chicken Dip ?

  • I usually make mine in the crockpot.  I put all of the ingredients in without baking first.  I mix in the cheddar cheese instead of putting it on top.  I also soften the cream cheese in the microwave first so it mixes easier.  Last weekend at my brother and sister's birthday lunch we left in the crockpot for several hours, it will be fine for the duration of the pre-game/game.  I would put it on low for a couple of hours and move down to warm when/if it gets bubbly.
  • Sounds good.  Thanks Denise!
  • i;m making buffalo chicken dip today too!
  • it must be the perfect superbowl food because I'm making it later today as well plus I shared it with 2 co-workers last week in prep for today!

I do mine all in the crockpot as well...I've never done it the baking way.
