Primary Care Dr. Recs?

I really haven't been to the doctor for awhile and my childhood dr. has since sold his practice.  It's kind of out of the way too, so I'm looking for something closer to Mt. Laurel.  Any one have any rec's for a primary care physician?

How does that work?  Do I have to request that my records be transfered or do the dr's offices communicate and get it done?

Re: Primary Care Dr. Recs?

  • You might have to fill out a form allowing them to transfer records.  Not sure.

I go to Haddonfield Family practice and I see Dr. Runfola.  It's obviously in Haddonfield, right behind Kings Hwy.

  • Ditto SG5506.

My DH and his family and my friends all go there.  My DH has seen Dr. Vick and Dr. Runfola there and everyone that I talk to love all the doctors.  I am switching to them the next time I have to go to the primary for something.

  • It seems to be pretty popular--I also have two friends that go there, and my pediatrician recommended him back in the day.  Dr. Runfola is pretty young for a doctor, too.  he seems to be up-to-date on the latest things.
  • I see Dr. Decker.  His office is right near Fashion Stitch.

The other doctor I really like but he is not my physician is Dr. Kleinman.  I think his practice is in Haddonfield.  He is an internist which is slightly different than your regular MD as they require more in depth training during their rotations.  I have been thinking of switching to him lately.

  • I think Dr. Kleinman's practice in on Rt 73 in Marlton instead of Haddonfield.  He is a younger doctor and pretty smart.  I met him in Virtua when my mom was in ICU.  He had a wealth of knowledge and was really easy to talk to.
  • Thanks, girls :)  All of the dr's you listed are In-network for me, so I guess if I'm not feeling better by mid-week I'll give one of them a call.  I had a fever last night and I feel like I have a low one now.  I just wish this cold would go away!
  • Haddonfield Family Practice is great!!  I've seen all the doctors there at one point or another and cannot say enough great things about them.
