5 random things....

On Facebook "25 Random things about Me" has been going around and you have to list 25 things.  I have found it very interesting .  I figure that 25 would be too many for us but it may be fun if we all list 5 random facts about ourselves.

    3. I despise the grocery store and any other crowded store where people are allowed to use shopping carts and wander like lost cattle.

    4. My new years resolution is to go with my gut. So far it's been 97% right.

    5. If I would have known I would be this responsible now, I would have done way more bad things when I was younger. Cause man, did I have a good time.

  • 1. I've never been farther West than Pittsburgh. 2. I don't eat meat. 3. I haven't watched tv in close to four years. 4. I went to four different elementary schools in five years even though we never moved. 5. I'm a little OCD about hand washing and I've had strangers compliment me on the way I wash my hands. It's happened twice in the past couple months and it kind of weirds me out. 6. I have a thing for even numbers so I'm adding an extra random fact to this list :)
  • 1.  I'm glad my parents forced me to go to church as a kid, where I met my future husband.  Fourteen years later I'm still amazed at how blessed I am to have him as my partner.

    2.  I'm terrible at consoling people.  I mean well, but the right words just never come to me.

    3.  I spent every summer until high school , all summer long, on Bennet Lake, outside of Perth, Ontario.  I hated it as a teenager, and now I'd give anything to have the opportunity to spend that much time there.

    4.  I really and truly enjoy writing and editing, something my husband and many coworkers find unfathomable.

    5.  I can't believe I only have seven months left in my 20s, but even more mind-blowing is the fact that we'll welcome a child in six months.

  • 1. As a child, I collected clowns.  I loved everything clown, and my room was full of clown figurines, clown dolls, etc.  I didn't realize that most other people are afraid of clowns until I was in middle school when friends did not want to spend the night at my house.

    2. My sister was born the day before my third birthday.  We were supposed to go to the circus that day.  When the doctor delievered her, he wore a clown mask.  For my 20th birthday, my sister bought tickets for our family to go to the Ringling Bros Circus.

    3. I loved going to the circus as a child (loved seeing the clowns).  We went to the Zembo circus every year.  Now you couldn't pay me to go.

    4. This May, I will finally receive my PhD.  This means that I need to leave the world of "student" and find a job.  My ideal job after 4 years of college and 6 years of grad school...SAHM.

    5. I met my husband in our sophomore HS english class.  My parents also met in their HS english class at the very same HS.

  • 1. My saltwater fishtank is completely overwhelmed with red slime ... and I'm completely overwhelmed with the thought of clearing it up.

    2. Since July 2008 I have watched the movie "Hairspray" like ... a million times. (Realistically, close to a hundred. I'd watch it twice in one day, if I had the time).

    3. I love photography. If a bum on the street pulled me aside and showed me pictures and told me stories of his family, I would sit there as long as he wanted me to.

    4. My walk in closet is organized by color. ROY G BIV.

    5. If I could write with ultra fine point sharpies all day, I would. I have every color.
  • 1. I'm a leftie, but I do nearly half my "tasks" with my right hand. It started with scissors (because left handed scissors suck so bad) and has just progressed from there.

    2. I grew up showing Arabian Horses on the National circuit. I miss it every single day.

    3. I met my husband in a bowling alley in Lock Haven. If you've ever been to Lock Haven, you may find this amusing.

    4. I have agoraphobia/anxiety, but am trying to manage it successfully without medication. I know that going on medication will only make the terror worse when I try to go off of it.

  • 1.  I was named after my great grandmother but hated my name growing up because I could never find anything fun with my name printed on it (stickers, pencils, key chains, etc.)  The older I got, the more appreciated the uniqueness and reason for my name.

    2. When I grow up I want to own my own business with my sister-in-law.  We've talked about a bakery or children's booktore.

    3. I own over 75 pairs of shoes

  • 1.  I don't like clowns (sorry to the pp).  Not because they ever scared me, but just because they are dumb.  They are suppose to be funny, but they aren't.

    2.  In F/U to #1, I don't like when things are intended to be funny but they aren't.  This is why I would never pay money to go to a comedy show.  To me, comedy is not a planned thing.  It is more accidental.

    3.  I was born exactly one year after my grandfather died.

    4.  I think I've had the same purse now for like five years, just because I don't like shopping for things like that.  I also REALLY need new shoes, but don't like shopping for them either.  Not very girly, huh?

    5.  I played the piano for six years, but would LOVE to have a piano so that I could start playing again.

  • 1.  I was born exactly 20 years after my uncle. I love the fact that we share the same birthday, as he's my only living uncle on my mom's side. He's had a heart transplant during my senior year of high school and is still fighting health issues.

    2.  DH and I first met in the same 5th grade classroom. We started dating during our junior year of HS and have been together ever since.

    3.  I never thought I would be content being a SAHM, but after 4 years of college and 2 years of graduate school, I'd give anything to be one.

    4.  I've always wanted to own a horse. One of my friends owned one and I would always go with her to her practices just so I could brush him afterwards.

    5.  I took French for 4 years of HS and 1 year of college and can barely speak or understand the language. My HS french teacher told us many stories of her shopping trips to NYC and her really long fake nails. At the time, it was one of the best classes...now it was such a waste of time.

  • 1. I love doing laundry.  I enjoy the whole process: the sorting, the washing, the drying, the folding, and then putting the stuff away.  It's my favorite household chore.

    2. No matter what time I wake up or how late in the day I'm eating for the first time, I HAVE to eat something "breakfast-y" before I can eat regular food.  Like if I woke up at noon or something, I couldn't eat a sandwich or a salad, I HAVE to have a muffin or a bagel or even just coffee to say I had breakfast.

    3. I never skipped school without my parents knowing and allowing it - I was too afraid of being caught and getting punished!

    4. I'm very OCD when it comes to closet organization.  My tops are organized by color first, lightest to darkest from left to right then lightest to darkest in each color category, then organized by sleeve length and season.  I also need all my hangers to be the same color - white :)  I don't hang pants/jeans or sweaters EVER, they all get folded and organized on shelves.  DH is overwhelmed by my system and can't remember it, which is why we don't share a closet :)

    5. I dream of starting my own business one day, maybe a coffee shop/bakery or a gift/home decor/candle shop.

  • 1.  My co-worker submitted her resignation today and I couldn't be happier!

    2.  I currently have 20 "items" in my shower right now that are just mine.  This inculdes shower gel/shave gel/hair products, etc....

    4.  Right now my fingernails are painted black.

    5.  I'm going to a wedding this weekend and have no idea what to wear.

  • 1.  My DH and I met by being set up on a blind date

    2. One of my favorite food combos is beer and M&Ms

    3.  I have been a terrible speller ever since I was little and have never been able to improve the skill--I'm so thankful for spell check

    2. I love pasta but will not/cannot eat long thin noodles (spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, etc.

    4.  I am complete and total home-body. I'd much rather sit at home than go out any day of the week. DH swears I'm becoming a hermit because its getting worse as I get older.

    5. I miss being a full time college student all the time. I regret working so hard to graduate in 4 years and I wish I would have stayed like 5 years. I hate being an adult with responsibilities and work.

  • 1.I wanted to be a marine biologist until "the Undertaker", my 10th grade bio teacher. After him, i hated the subject.

2.I would love to write childrens books and have my cousing illistrate them. It would be about the various adventures of Butter and friends. Sort of like the Pokey Little Puppy. But I want them to have a moral or meaning to them.

    3. I was suppose to go to Europe the year i graduated HS with American Music Abroad, but was so fed up with most of the particiapnts by the final night at home, I left and didn't go. 4.I have a pension for polka dots. iF it's polka dotted, I will probably pick it.

    5. I have a ton of Barbies....200-300. i wish i could find someone willing to pay what they are worth. They don't go for much on Ebay and most are still in their boxes. They are collectors editions: Bob Mackie, various country ones, Christmas ones, etc. Plus a lot of clothes, too.

    2.  I had over 20 roommates in the course of 8 years (from starting college to living by myself 3 years out of college).
