So my husband left for a six week deployment last night. ?I'm totally used to him being gone, but this is the first time he'll be gone this long since we've had our son. ? DH is going to miss so much of Julian growing up, and it just saddens me. ?I started to get all teary when DH was saying goodbye to Julian, and noticed that DH was teary as well. ?Gotta love the military. ?The only good I can forsee are the tax free paychecks! LOL.

    My brother is oversees with the military and my mom talks with him via skypie (sp?) You can download it for free and use a webcam to see him and he'll be able to see you and the baby. It's worth trying.

    He's in an area will it won't be possible to talk to him or email him. ?It really stinks! No communication at all. :(

    Man, that must be so tough.  I hate it when DH travels a few days at a time for work, I'd never be cut out to do what you do.  You must be a really strong person!  I hope the time flied and sees your H home safe and sound quickly.

    I know it sucks...Dh is leaving for pre-deployment training on Thursday. Let me know if you need anything I'm just a short trip from you. Take lots of pictures of the baby for Dh to look through when he comes home.

    Thanks, ladies! ?I'm hoping he'll be able to use the satallite phone at least one time while he's gone. ?We'll be fine, it's part of our life, it just stinks he's missing out on Julian growing up. ?We knew we would have to deal with it someday, but it's harder than we thought it would be. ?
