I thought I'd come to you with a couple of questions since you are the fitness Guru. I've been to the gym pretty faithfully for the last 2 weeks, alternating legs and arms days. They have the big exercise balls and also a bosu and I know they are great for working for your core. Do you have any exercise in particular or any helpful websites as to things to do on them? I'm not really familiar with either and don't know what to do on them. Plus I get bored easily which is why I'd like to add them in as an option.
TIA

Re: ***JJENKINS***
You've come to the right source for those things...LOL. Seriously those are two of my favorite things to use with clients...much to their disappointment!!
There are tons of things you can do on the stability ball...just about anything you would do on a flat bench can be done on the ball. First though (and alot of people dont know this) you need to make sure you are using the right size ball. If you're 5'6 and under you would use a 55cm ball but if you're 5'7 to 6'0 (roughly) you would use a 65 cm ball. However just for an example...I'm 5'6.5 to 5'7 in height and I still use the 55cm. The larger ball gives you a larger surface area to sit or lie on, thereby lessening the degree of difficulty.
For the BOSU again there are tons of exercises that can done on that as well. It stands for Both Sides Up because you can use it dome up or dome down.
There aren't too many web sites out there for just the regular user but I have a bunch of handouts with exercises for both saved at work (I periodically teach a workshop using both of them) so if you post your email for me I will be happy to send them to you. It's honestly not going to be all of the exercises you could do but it will definitely give you plenty for a while.
I'm not in there again until Monday and I know I have a pretty hectic schedule already but I could have something sent to you by lunchtime-early afternoon.
Thanks Jen. How do I know what size ball it is?
I tried doing the bridge i guess is what they call it and could keep the ball still. Dh was totally laughing at me. or was i suppose to have it against a wall? I was in the missle on the room with it.(The gym we are going to has a small back room with yoga mats, a BOSU 4 exercise balls, those push up disks on the floor a jump rope and the video player for future use as a virtual class.
try this address since it allows for bigger files:

Again thanks so much for your help.
Most balls will have the size written on them along with whatever company manufactured it. You could of been doing a bridge on the ball...were you lying with your head/neck supported on the ball and lowering the butt towards the floor? You can do ball squats by putting the ball against the wall, leaning into the ball so the ball is at the low back and walking the feet out (like you are doing a wall sit but with the ball behind you).
I'll make sure to send you pics on Monday
I sent them this morning so hopefully you got them...should be 3 different emails with the attachments and then the one includes a link to a bunch of BOSU exercises.
Obviously I don't include every single exercise but it will give you a lot of variety and options.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Exactly! Someone can explain it to me, but I always have to say "show me".
Mucho Gracias!
