I feel bad b/c it's a fairly-normal thing for an early 20-something to do, but he's not your average 20-something... he's a role model to kids and has major endorsements! Sucks to have such an incriminating photo circulating!!!
I was pretty amused by the public apology his rep is sending out, there's no way those words originated from Michael himself!
I wonder if High Times ever thought to start their own little druggie olympics. He's certainly not the first to get caught, maybe just the first to be dumb enough to do it in front of a camera.
I think he's at fault here....when you get into the public eye like he did and want to be an olympic athlete you have to realize that there are things that go along with that. You are a role model for millions of kids and yeah it stinks that everything you do is scrutinized....you signed up for it! I hate when people say "oh he's 23, everyone does that"...no, not everyone does....I never did, never had a desire too and had enough respect for myself not to be pressured into it b/c it's something "everyone does".
The thing that stinks is that he can't even trust a friend...he did something stupid and someone he knows sold him out b/c that's the only way that picture got into the public eye. That's why I feel bad for him....other then that he's completely at fault and if he gets looked at differently for it that he learned his lesson
Same here. Many people never used drugs, so the belief that it is 'normal' is a bit off. Maybe it makes people that did feel better, but it isn't true.
