QOTW:  What is the best tip that you have ever received in regards to fitness or exercise?

  • QOTW:  I'm not a big exerciser at all so I would say that just moving in some way shape or form (be it taking a 30 minute walk or getting off the couch and vacuuming or cleaning) is a good tip.  I'll be interested to hear how others respond to this question so I can learn some new things!

    This week I am proud because I went to the gym 3 times.  I also added a new part to my routine - arm work.  I am also proud that the Steelers won the Super Bowl (ok, this has nothing to do with a "healthy me" but I'm still proud about it - lol)

  • QOTW: I think it would be either to vary my exercises or to WALK. because walking is the thing that controls my midsection right now, haha.

    1 thing:  NOT eating all of my bday cake on saturday. one small slice, thanks.

    goals: get back to the gym!!! (this of course is dependant on snow, thanks weather)

    Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week. Making better choices when going out to eat

    Any goals for this upcoming week? To do better than this past week. Seriously, I did not do that good. I was sick half of the week and on the weekend I was SO stressed and anxious so I didn't eat the well then either.

  • I would definitely like to participate in this. I'm doing Weight Watchers online but feel like I need a little extra motivation (DH has been very supportive of me though)
  • Tip:don't inhale your food, chew it..savor it.. know what you are sticking in your mouth.
    compare brands. There can be 5 differnt brands of fires..if you must have some. Compare the fat...sodium..calories..etc. The various fries we compared, the generic came in lower in all of those compare to the name brand. Also compare serving sizes. One may say it's only 100 calories, but you only get 1. Another may say 125 calories, but you get 3!

    I did well this week., Iwent to the gym 3 times again plus a 2 hour walk at the state park, part of that was scaling back of the hill after sliding down it to get ot the river. I lost 1.1-3 pounds. The range is do to the 2 different scales. i one is the kind you find in a bath room at the mall that you drop a quarter in. That's where i got my starting weight and said i lost 1.1 pounds. but not sure how accurate it is do to useage by so many. The new one at the gym said i lost 3 pounds, but i don't have a start weight form that one.

    goals:keep plugging away. try to chang it up a little. more weight..different things to do. Like I'm adding in the bosu and ball thanks to Jen.

  • QOTW:  What is the best tip that you have ever received in regards to fitness or exercise? to drink a glass of water and then if you are still hungry go ahead and eat something - that actually works (most of the timeStick out tongue)

    Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week.  I am happy that I did not gain this week.... it has been a heck of a week and I have been so stressed, which is a hugh weakness... I lost a 1/2 a pound.... hey it is still a loss.

    Any goals for this upcoming week? to get back on track and stick with WW
