Well, that didn't take long...
I knew we would be hearing from the "private" mother of the Octuplets sometime, I just didn't think it would be this soon...apparently, she is going to be on the Today show on Monday and Oprah sometime soon.
I read an article about her on MSNBC today and it mentions something about her being on disability from a work-related injury. Also, she was married a few years ago, but says her depression ruined her marriage and she was lonely...and the only way she felt comforted was at the idea of having a huge family.
Those poor kids...I felt bad for them before, but now I really do.
Re: Well, that didn't take long...
I heard the same thing this morning on Good Morning America as I was leaving--that she has/was battling depression and having kids fills this void. I don't think that warrants having 14 kids, especially when on your own (yes, single people can certainly have kids, but not when you're on disability and doing it to make yourself feel better).
Anyway, I hope these kids have a good childhood and are well cared for.
