Stamp prices going up...again.

Just heard on the news - -Stamp prices will go up to 44 cents beginning May 11th.

Time to stock up on the forever stamps...

Re: Stamp prices going up...again.

  • I just heard that too. I'm going to buy some forever stamps this week because those will go up on May 11th also (obviously).
  • I just read about that. Just when I thought they wouldn't go up for a while......
  • Yeah, I heard that too. And I have the same plan...going to stock up on the forever stamps before the price goes up. Thank goodness I signed up for bill pay. 44 cents is way too high!
  • I would rather see then mot deliever mail on Saturday the increase stamps again. Saturday mail is just junk any way.

I agree. We always forget to get the mail on Saturday anyway. The USPS, though is looking to cut back Tuesday, since it is their slowest day. Sucks for workers to be off Sunday, work Monday, off Tuesday, and then have a nearly full week.

?That would suck to not have two days off in a row.?

  • When I was in College I took Tues/Thurs off for classes. It actually helped break up the work week. I liked it. Not sure that I would like it now though.

Most letter carriers have split days off- Sunday and one other day. A good friend of ours carries in Seal Beach and their hours have been cut back already. He doesn't come in until 10 a.m. now as opposed to 7:30.
