do you have names picked out for ur children?
i have a list of girl and boy names that i am always adding to for when i have another child. i love looking for baby names online and in old books!
Re: do you have names picked out for ur children?
I had 2 girl names I loved that were veto'ed by my H bc he claimed they were "p*rn star names." He then named his car one of them. Grr...
Teaching also ruined a few boy names for me. My favorite boy name was the worst kid in my class.
Other than that, not really. My H freaks out (my friends in college called him "Chandler Bing" bc he was a little afraid of marriage/growing up) if I mention the word "baby" and that is about as far in the convo we get with regards to names.
my husband vetoed about 99% of my girl names before we named harper!
i emailed him a ton of names when i was 8 wks pregnant and he said he didnt like any!
it was super frusterating but so much fun at the same time!
yea, i have a feeling that is how it will be with us..
Ps...Love the new pics of Harper!!! Minus the bottom one on the Bachelor night! I look beast! Plllleeeeaaaseee take it down!!
We have one favorite first name for both. As of now H and I agree on at least the first names.
My very good friend is due in June. Her son will have our favorite boy name. I used to think something like that would make me change my favorite. Instead H and I have decided if we have a son he will just have to deal with growing up sharing a name.
I say to H all the time "If we have a boy/girl, can we name them_____?" And his response is usually "We're not having a baby." He's a party pooper.
I have a few names and H doesn't know about any of them. I don't want any crazy fad names. I think that my names are classic and I hope that they don't get over used in the next couple of years.
Krista! You don't look like a beast, it's just that Harper was stealing everyone's thunder in that pic. She is gorgeous
Our husbands must hang out. Mine gives pretty much the same response.
We've two names picked out, but I constantly ask H about other ones. He usually says no. My dad's name is Daniel and as long as I can remember I wanted to name a son Daniel. Throughout my SIL's whole pregnancy she was going with the name Jackson for her son(as in we threw her shower with Jackson written on everything) and the day he was born she begged to name him Daniel. Everyone gave in. Yeah I'm still bitterish.
I swear I typed a reply to this before and now I don't see it. Weird...but anyways.
My fave boy name is my husband's grandfather's name so that works out well. But one of his friends is now dating a girl with my top girl name, just spelled differently. We aren't ready for kids just yet but I'm wondering if he'll want to pick a different name for a daughter if his friend is still with this girl. I'd ask him but he'd probably think I was nuts.
