My friend finally got a room at Harrisburg

Hospital, she delivered a healthy baby boy on Saturday. She got to her room late Friday night. I went to see her on yesterday, her dr came in and said there are 40 babies in the newborn nursery. No wonder there was no rooms for her on Friday.

  • 40 babies???  Wow!  When I had Sophia at Harrisburg Hospital, I was actually able to choose my delivery room...lol.  I wanted one with a river view.
  • Wow.  Every time I've been in (which is 3 times now between both babies), I've never seen more than 5 or 6 babies in there!
  • Congrats to her!

    40 babies though, wow!

For some reason, babies seem to come in waves!  When I delivered Alison a week and a  half ago, 5 babies were born the night I went into labor, and then 5 more the day I delivered.  Mt. Nittany Medical Center doesn't serve that big a population. I was lucky to get a labor and delivery room and then a private recovery room!

  • My friend is an RN in labor and Delivery at Harrisburg Hospital she always tells me how they get very busy when it is a full moon.  For some reason, and i have heard this other places also, a lot of woman go into labor when it is a full moon, i think it was Friday right?
