Ok for real...I am going to work out right now....

After a, um, 6 month hiatus from running I am going to start tonight!  I have gained 4 lbs in the past month and I need to get in shape for the spring.  I am going to hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

I figure if I write about it here, I will have to actually do it since you all will ask how it went :)

 Wish me luck!

  • It's almost nine.  It's to late to work out silly.
  • I'm on your page tonight! Today was the first day I worked out in at LEAST 6 months! It felt good but I'm sure I'll be hurting tomorrow. I don't know how I let myself slack off for so long, I was up to running 4 miles 4x week! Hope it went well for you!

  • Good for you :)  I'm always in a better mood when I work out.  I was at the gym at 5am this morning!

Don't get discouraged either...I've read it takes 2 weeks for something to become a habit.

  • I actually ran yesterday.  Just for 15 min and then did some abs.  I did run at 6.0 for awhile and did a minute and a half of 7.0 (I try to run at intervals), so I wasnt AS out of shape as I thought.  I think I am going to sign up for a 5k this spring so I have something to keep me motivated.

It is just discourging to go from working at a gym/working out 5-6x a week/being able to run 5 miles a time to letting yourself slack and have to rebuild.
