Valentine's Day Poll

How will you be celebrating Valentine's Day this year?

Re: Valentine's Day Poll

  • DH has been really down lately due to his grandfather's death in December and a major rift with his mother shortly thereafter and having recently been diagnosed with severe male factor infertility, so I want to do something special for him on Valentine's Day.

Since we are going to France in August, went to Italy on our honeymoon and to Austria and the Czech Republic last summer, I am planning to make/serve foods and wines from those countries for a wonderful, romantic, candle-lit Valentine's Day dinner at home.

  • I think we'll just go someplace "nice" for dinner...someplace we don't normally go to. ?I would have no problem with Olive Garden. ?The baby is craving Olive Garden salad and raspberry lemonade!!! ?:)

MrsH2You: ?What are your plans this year??

  • We don't have anything major planned.  We're taking a day trip to the Dr. Pepper plant.  It's a Texas thing - but fun. My husband is a huge pure cane dr pepper fan and you can buy it there for a great price.   It's a two hour drive.  We'll eat dinner and take the tour of the oldest bottling plant in texas.
  • MoFree- Sorry to hear your family is having a tough time- I hope you are able to cheer up your husband with a romantic dinner! I sure am jealous of all of your world travels!

Brit- Hope you have a fabulous V-day! How are you feeling? Hope you are doing great and getting ready for your little man to arrive.

Mrs.H- I used to live in TX and always wanted to go to the DP plant, but never made it! We did, however, go to the Bluebell factory in Brenham- a few times. :) Have fun!

We are going to hang out in the French Quarter for the afternoon (every now and then we like to play like tourists in our own city!), have dinner down there and then go to the House of Blues to see the "Vagina Monologues," which my little sister is in! Should be an interesting end to the night, to say the least! Happy Valentine's day, ladies!
