I find it ironic that right (not even  2 weeks) before DH and I got married, the "Runaway Bride" was all over the news - even mentioned during the homily of our wedding by the priest - tastefully, of course. 

And now I have a baby and it's Octomom everywhere you turn.

    Do you think that site is really them?

     

    I would think if they were behind it they could at least find pictures of the kids and mom that weren't snapped directly from NBC's interview...

    Love the term Octo-mom.  Is that something that the media is actually using or did you come up with that yourself??

    I think their PR company set it up for them. The donations are being sent through them so I would think it's legit. I thought about commenting but they're probably censoring them so it wouldn't get through anyway.

    wow, you're kidding me, right?!  it's called "get a job!"  i just read an article on msn that says the citizens of California might be paying for her hospital stay.  The hospital is asking the state to cover the costs of her and the babies' stay -- an undisclosed cost, at that.  I'd be flippin' livid if I lived in CA!!!!!!!!!

    I saw "octo-mom" on one of the Bump boards and thought it was funny.

    I feel bad for her kids - it's not their fault, and they're going to suffer for her craziness.  if there was only some way to make sure the aid went to the kids only...

    FFS, if you can't afford to care for the babies don't get fertility treatments. This whole thing disgusts me more and more every time I hear it.

    We were discussing this last night on FB. That fact that she saved for the invetro..thousands of dollars.. but didn't have the foresight to save for their birth or future?! She has a definite psych issue. She's admitted to needing them to fill a void that she felt was from lack of affection from her mother. So everytime she felt the urge or need, she';d have another implanted. I liked how..Anne Curry (?). ask her what POSSESSED her to do it. You could totally rad between the lines in what she really wanted to say.
