UPDATE: just not meant to buy a house
Well, they called back and said that they would agree to the April closing date, but because the wife is a teacher and can't take time off of work to move, that they'd like to have Saturday and Sunday to move their stuff out, and be out by 4pm Sunday afternoon. Closing is that Friday. I'm okay with that - especially because that particular Sat. is my best friend's bridal shower and I'll be out of town. They probably won't even need that, since they're slated to close the end of March (but it's a home on Sheriff sale).
I just am not comfortable with being a landlord!
Re: UPDATE: just not meant to buy a house
Thank you!!!!!
That's what I said... especially since I've been saving my vacation time for this (certainly NOT a vacation!) to take the week off to move in. Our realtor even said about doing the following Monday, but I guess they're trying to close on both houses on the same day so they don't have to do a bridge loan... But - at least they're keeping their homeowner's insurance on it for those 2 days, paying us $80 for the 2 days they're taking to move out (taking the mortgage and prorating it), plus doing a $500 security deposit incase there would be some damage while moving out. But, they accepted the $164,000 w/ $5000 seller's help like we asked! So that's really exciting. I'm so nervous though, I could puke! What a huge step!
Well at least they're doing all of that! They seem much less inconsiderate now (even thought they still are a little
). That's awesome that they accepted your offer. It is a huge step, but you'll be so glad when it's all done and you have you own house
We definitely want to see pics when you get a chance!
I certainly will get some pics up here soon!
Congrats!!!!!
I wouldn't have gone with the first deal either of having them live in it after you close. DH and I are in the process of looking for a house now and its so frustrating to find something you like than have problems with it but I'm glad it worked out for you.
