Just got a call from my doctor
Apparently my glucose test results from Monday are high and they have to run more tests to see if I have gestational diabetes.
I guess this is my wake up call because I haven't taken care of myself as well as I should. Plus, diabetes runs in my family (dad & grandma have it).
Re: Just got a call from my doctor
Oh no! I haven't gotten my results yet. Does that mean you have to take the 3 hour test?
UGH!!! I guess you had better get a book or something!
BLEH!!
I can't wait for mine!!!! ::insert sarcasm here::
I'm sorry! What a bummer!
I was a Type 2 diabetic before getting pg so I didn't have to take the test...From what I hear, I'm kinda glad.
Thanks, everyone. I really hope the next tests are normal, but I know I HAVE to cut down on sweets and exercise more.
Anyone willing to be my arse kicker when I make excuses not to exercise? DH is tired of fruitlessly nagging me, so he's stopped.
Also, anyone know off-hand if our beloved Quest Diagnostics will be open Monday? I'm hoping so because I cannot take time off from work for this.
TIA
Well, it's not fun, but it could be worse. They draw blood, then I have to drink some orange-flavored drink, sit around in their waiting room for 3 hours, and then have my blood drawn again.
that sucks! I had to take the 3 hour test both pregnancies....I passed the 2nd time around.
Crossing my fingers that you don't have GD!
