How do you clean your oven?
Ours needs cleaned and I don't want to use a can of chemicals. It has a self-cleaning feature, where I think it heats up really hot and burns things to dust. Has anyone done this with their oven?
Re: oven cleaning
I use a can of chemicals.
Our self-cleaning feature didn't knock my socks off the last time we used it, hopefully you have better luck with yours. I would suggest maybe waiting for a warmer day or Spring time so you can have your windows opened because the smell can be horrendous.
I'm embarrassed to admit we haven't cleaned our oven since we moved in two years ago. Obviously if there is a spill or something we wipe it up with regular kitchen cleaner, but other than that it hasn't been deep cleaned. I would probably opt for the self cleaning feature. I used to use oven cleaner to deep clean my bathtub (it's old and ceramic) and the chemicals were so strong I'd always leave with a buzz.
I'll put cleaning my oven on my list of things to do....
