I would love to get new kitchen cabinets if we can afford it. We still have the original cheapo cabinets built into our house in 1979 and they are in bad shape inside and out.
I know nothing about how to get this done. I would love if you could offer some recommendations - any contractors or companies? Any do-it-your selfers? (I thought maybe Mrs. McJeep did her own cabinets a while back...) Any tips on saving money? Thanks!
Re: Show me your kitchens!
Here are some kitchen pics that might help:

We're planning to eventually re-do our new kitchen and keep going in circles on when and what, so I'm looking forward to seeing other responses to this post!
The previous owners remodeled our current kitchen (and good thing too . . you should see the fugly cabinets they moved to the basement mechanic's room). I believe the cabinets are from Ikea. I really like our cabinets and have been very happy with them. My favorite part is the deep drawers. I believe Ikea has people there that can help you pick out what you'll need and so forth.
These pics are from the previous owners listing page. Good luck girls!
We have white cabinets.
Ok, don't mean to beat a dead horse, but for those looking to hire someone to redo your kitchens, may I recommend my dad's business? He could really use the business, given the economic situation. He will also design your kitchen for free with some computer software he has. It really helps to have that visual! Anyway, his website is www.cooneyskitchensandflooring.350.com
He is located in the Harrisburg area, but will travel if it isn't too far.
Thanks in advance ladies!
Even though I answered one of the other posts...I have pib of what we've done to ours.
