I think I finally found a new foyer light...
I fell in love with this light months ago while walking through a model home in my parents development but didn't get a chance to look for it. Turns out its available from HD's web site for $150 less than the MSRP! This is totally going on my home wish list for this year to replace the fugly builder brass one.

Then I need to eventually decide what to replace the dining room one with.
Re: I think I finally found a new foyer light...
That is really pretty. I love going to look at Charter homes, they always do such a nice job with decorating. Do they have that fixture at any HD Expos? It might be even cheaper if you make a trip to one of the ones that is closing.
I need to start thinking about what lighting I want to in our kitchen. I envy your dedication at getting renovations done! We are the world's slowest renovaters. Our kitchen is finally starting to come together. My decorator friend is coming this afternoon and I want to go look for blue and white plates to hang on the walls.
That is really nice Jen!
We bought 3 Progress fixtures when we re-did the kitchen...a mini pendant for over the sink, a semi-flush mount for the kitchen ceiling and then a small coordinating chandelier for the dining space. We were really happy with the quality considering we bought the fixtures w/o seeing them in person first (our HD didn't have them in-store). We bought them all online from http://progresslightingoutlet.progressdistributor.com/ and saved a good bit of money compared to the HD site. I didn't search for the fixture you posted, but thought I'd mention it just in case.
Thanks for posting that Charlene! The light is on that list and it seems to be around the price that the HD web site was but I like the idea of being able to order from them directly. I also found a light in the same family that would probably work in our dining room...DH doesn't want something too big...

Denise if it makes you feel any better my to-do list for this house is still huge
I feel like every time I get something completed something else comes along that we decide to do.
Very nice Jen!!!
Every single light fixture, light switch cover, air vent, knob, bathroom accessory, you name it is UGLY brass in my house. It drives me nuts but if I went and changed everything now I would be broke. There is so much I want to do but I really don't think I will ever get it done. This house is awesome and I love it but it does need updated.
Lesli that's one reason I'm glad my house is only 1600 sf
Plus I'm doing those things in small doses...first it was all the cabinet hardware. Slowly but surely things are getting checked off the list. I finally replaced all our switchplates to ORB in the first floor and the floor register vents. I'll do all the doorknobs at one time (Hello Ebay!). The light fixtures seriously make me nuts though...the hallway one does not give good light and its ugly so it's got no positives in my book
I was able to do some of this thanks to Christmas gift cards which was a huge help!
