When you have people over your house

Isn't there always something that happens?  Everytime I have people over I have some kind of damage...either from children or adults!

Re: When you have people over your house

  • Yes, that is happened to us before.  We never seem to notice until they leave.
  • We dont know anyone who has kids yet but when our friends come over we usually have a lot of drinks getting spilled.  They are some animated people in our group.

  • We actually avoid having certain relatives over for that exact reason.  We are not hung up on our stuff and accidents happen, but some people's kids are just destructive.

We had DH's coworker/friend and his family over for dinner ( which they brought as a post Nico gift--awesome!) and their youngest managed to get pasta sauce all over the chair she was sitting on. Her father was so upset, telling us they'd pay to have someone come out and clean it, etc...but I kept telling him don't worry...it'll come out.... it's only a chair, it's fine. Of course I was worried that it wouldn't, but it would not have been the end of the world. FWIW..it did come out with Woolite Oxy.

Then again, we have family that we don't have over, but it's not sauce on a chair, it's ripping things off of our walls, throwing things and breaking them. So not the same.

  • Nico is back!!! I just noticed.

We've had spills and niks. And our very light colored carpet is hard to keep up with. When we just moved in and barely had anything but walls my cousin's children ran through here like wild animals and we haven't invited them over since.
