Meatloaf

I'm not super crazy about meatloaf, so I've never made one.  But, that's what the H wants for dinner.  Before I go googling, anyone have a good recipe to share?

Re: Meatloaf

  • I had never had meatloaf, until I met my husband, who is a big fan. I always felt like meatloaf was something found in a cafeteria. Anyway, ?I found an amazing recipe, and now it's one of my favorite things to eat for dinner! ?It's from allrecipes.com

  • That sounds pretty good.  Thanks!
  • I don't follow a recipe I just put the meat in a bowl with breadcrumbs, 1 egg and chop up some onion and mix it all together. I also buy the meatloaf mix from the store it has 3 types of ground meat in it, but I have made it with just ground meat and it is good. I actually just made that last night for dinner.

  • Hmm..that recipe looks good! I am not usually a meatloaf fan, but I might need to try this one. My mom always made meatloaf with egg noodles and applesauce. I love egg noodles...haha.
  • Similar to soon2be, I make my own concoction - usually the 3 ground meats, an egg, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, locatelli cheese.

     I LOVE meatloaf!!!! :)

  • Lipton Onion, and Beefy Onion Soup mix has a recipe on the back of the box.  I usually follow that, but use 1/2 beef and 1/2 turkey to make it slightly leaner.
  • I wish I was home so I could give you my two recipes. I use BBQ sauce in mine and they are delicious. My DH was never into meatloaf and once I made it he fell in love. It's really, really good. One of the recipes is cooked in muffin tins so it's a little different. If I remember I'll post them later or this weekend.
