Ok, the dress actually got worse....now it's 3 inches below the knee and all the way to the floor in the back....like it wasn't bad enough going to our heel now we have to worry about tripping on the stupid tail.....and to top it all off her taylor quoted her $85 for the hem b/c the dress has 4 layers and that's not including anything else.
I refuse to pay $85 for a hem!!! I still need it taked in around the bust and cups put in.....it's gonna cost me $100 for alternations and I already paid $180 for the ugly dress. I did call Rose Lafferty and it would probably cost me $85 total for the hem, cups and taking it in through her. I"m so pissed and can't imagine asking my girls to do this when I could tell them to do a straight hem for $25
Re: Ugly bridesmaid dress update :)
Ditto Deanna. That sounds terrible and wayyy to expensive. Ugh.
I thought about this already but I don't want her to get mad....I did send her a text saying that I was quoted only $25 for a straight hem and a lot more for the two different lengths to see what she says.....what I really want to tell her is I refuse to spend that much on a hem and that I'm just gonna go straight with mine. When she called and told me, I told her that's insane to pay that much but she didn't say much. I get that you have to do what the bride wants with the dresses but I can't imagine asking someone to pay that!!! I'm gonna have my dog chew the bottom of the dress off
Oh and Deanna....your dog is so cute!!!!
I'm having such issues picturing how this dress will look nice. So it's a mullet dress? Can't you all approach her with the issue and put the blame fully on the cost of alterations? Say that it would have been different if it is strictly a size issue with alterations, but now the dress is being completely altered and you didn't budget that much money for her wedding, especially while planning your own.
Thanks for the pup compliment. She is in time out right now for chewing off one of my bra straps.

So its basically going to look like this?

Hideous. A hi-low hem is one thing and can look cute. but not when it goes floor length. And certainly not when that's not how the dress was designed. Did you order these dresses yet? Why is she playing Project Runway with them? It seems it would be much easier to find something the way she wants than to "create" it.
LOL, I love the mullet dress comment....that's what I'm going to refer to it as from now on
The reason she is doing this is b/c she couldn't find the dress in the color peach with the mullet hem.
As far as saying something...there are 8 bridesmaids and me and my sister are the soon to be sister in laws and everyone else is her friends or sister so I feel like saying something would be bad b/c it's coming from me.
Here's the dress:

Now picture it in peach, with a mullet
