Child Care/Nanny Question

We need to figure out child care SOON for our new baby and I've totally been dragging my feet. I looked at some day care centers but also want to get info on having someone come into our home.

Does anyone have a nanny who comes into your home for day-time care?

How did you find your nanny?

What is the going rate in the Milwaukee area?

What I have in mind is someone who would come in to watch DD from 8ish to 6ish each weekday.

Re: Child Care/Nanny Question

  • During college I was a nanny in MKE and was paid anywhere from $12-$17/hr. The first position I found was through http://www.enannysource.com/ and from there I was referred to other families by the original family.

  • I should have mentioned that $12/hr was for one child and $17/hr for four children.
