  • This sounds like something my crazy hippie father would do
  • Although I think you can use Dr. Bronners on your head
  • Kindly associate "10yt" with something cuter than vinegar.

    Ohhhhh yes they do!

  • I didn't get grossed out until this line:

The eventual aim of this process is to let your natural oils care for your hair, so you should use the baking soda and vinegar only as much as you need it, hopefully reducing your usage to zero eventually.

So the whole point is never to wash you hair ever again!?! Ewww  Ick!

I'm seriously curious to try this.

    ah ha!

  • I love that 10Years = vinegar.
    Fantastic.
  • Eh, I agree with the concept that most commercial shampoos are too harsh and strip your scalp of oils which leads your scalp to overproduce oil to make up for it. But never washing your hair again? Wow.

Confession: using apple cider vinegar as an after shampooing rinse was something I grew up with so that part doesn't seem strange to me. I was also taught to use baking soda to clean my hair brushes (soak in baking soda and water). However I'm not sure I could bring myself to use the two together in lieu of shampoo.

    i KNEW it!

  • I had a boyfriend several years ago who wouldn't wash his hair for weeks.  He claimed the natural oils would clean his hair, or some shiit.  He would only wet it with water every couple days and use shampoo maybe once ir twice a month.  Ick!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    Tongue Tied

Ok so I'm thinking this wouldn't be a good experiment.  M wouldn't let me get away with it anyway, I'm sure.

  • MH would be so appaled if I even *thought* of this! Not that I really ever would....I do like the principle of it because I agree that there are TONS of chemicals in shampoo. However, I could never "taper off" to never using anything on my hair. I'd have dreads in like 2 weeks.
