Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

How are you going to defrost your cake?

I want to make sure I do this right. Our cake was soo yummy!

  • I believe we just sat ours out on the counter...and of course I tried to eat it while it was still really cold/frozen. We already ate it about 11 months ago because I'm just not a patient person. Angel

  • I believe you just set it out for a few hours or however long it takes to thaw.  I am going to ask my mother since she made the cake.

    I would probably call whomever did the cake and see if they have any pointers.  I'm not sure if it's different for different types of cake.  We just had the traditional white with white icing.

  • Mine is only going to be frozen for 1 month since we are picking up a re-creation of it next weekend, I would venture to guess, and I am just guessing here that mine may not have to sit out as long as yours.....I dont know...I will ask my baker.
