i'm a total lurker! but i read your money saving ways so...
did you join club veg? they email out buy one meal and two drinks get a meal free coupons. (total comes to 13.50 or so) for two meals and two drinks.

Ah Souplantaion.
Confession: I grew up fearing that restaurant.
Whenever we'd drive by it, I'd get a little nervous. We had a XCountry team dinner there in high school, so I had to go.
In the car, (as the only black member on the team) I asked my teammates, "What kind of plantation is this, am I going to be okay?".
The team captain said, "Umm... it's not one of those plantations. It's just a buffet. The plantations you're thinking of have been illegal for awhile."
