the mixer saga has a happy ending.

first, thanks to lily for offering me yours - that was really sweet :)

i got a major bug up my ass yesterday to do some baking and cooking, and realized that i needed that mixer in my hot little hand immediately.  so i packed up the bean and we went to bed bath & beyond to check things out.  i have a stack of 20% off coupons (does anyone else hoard these?), so i stuck one in my bag and hoped for the best.

they only had one pink kitchenaid hand mixer left, and it was the one on display.  "i can give you an extra 10% off," the girl said.  score!  but there was no box, no instructions (although it's a hand mixer, how complicated can it be?), and it was missing a beater.  after helping me look around, the girl walked away - great customer service, huh? - and i shrugged, plucked the beaters off of another mixer, checked to make sure they fit, and boned outta there.

the cashier gave me 15% off, plus my 20% off coupon.  i ended up paying about as much as i would've for the cheapo white 3-speed model at target.  whee!
