Mardi Gras - a bathroom question - weird I know I'm sorry :)
My family is flying in from Boston on Sunday and we are going to go to our first Mardi Gras parade on Tuesday (I'm from Boston and have never been either). MH is from here (grew up on the north shore) but the last time he went to Mardi Gras was like 10 years ago.
So my question is what is the bathroom situation like? I imagine there aren't too many public restrooms. My dad is a cancer survior and due to his surgery and chemotherapy he has to use the bathroom a lot (tmi I know I'm sorry).
I guess I'm just wondering if there will be places around should he need a restroom during the few hours that we will be in town?

same as others
stay in a hotel along the route, they give wristbands for occupants
pay a restaurant or a bar, again, get a wristband
sometimes churches and schools do the same
use a port-a- potty
