My "Exciting" Morning

I left work to pick up Sarah at daycare and take her to the doctor.  The 15 was at a standstill - it took me 30 minutes to get to the next exit!  I get to daycare and she's sleeping so I grab her and we go.  We get to the dr's office and we get upstairs and I notice she's got a dirty diaper.  Of course I have nothing with me...I mention it to the receptionist and she says she can give me a diaper and wipes!  How cool is that?!  I go into the bathroom to change her and she pees all over her jeans while I am changing her.  Of course I don't have a spare set of clothes so I just "move on".  We see the doctor and she's gained some weight - which is good news!  She's at 17 pounds 15.5 oz - almost 18 - wooohoooo!  Yea...we know...she's a little peanut.  :-)  The doctor checks her out and says she's "perfect"!  No more wheezing or congestion so we can stop the inhaler and get her off soy and start her on whole milk!  Finally!  We leave the doctor's office and get into my car to go back to daycare...I get about 4 blocks away and my car stops accelerating - yup - I RAN OUT OF GAS!!  I have never done this in my entire life!  So I pull into a residential area and search for my AAA card - yeah, can't find it.  DH decided my wallet was too cluttered and cleaned it up for me...nice, huh?  So I call him to come "rescue me".  He's working in downtown Riverside and I'm in South Corona.  He left work, ran to a gas station, bought 2 gallon containers ($10 each!) and brought me the gas.  In the meantime, Sarah and I are walking around the neighborhood "exploring" - she discovered dandelions!!  He gets there with the gas and I"m finally able to get going.  I head to the nearest gas station to fill up.  While it's doing that I find a bag full of toys which I give to Sarah to play with.  We're driving to daycare and I hear her gagging in the backseat...we're seconds from daycare so I'm yelling at her to pull the toy or fingers out of her mouth to stop gagging!  I get to daycare and open the back door to check on her...she's EATING KLEENEX!!  Yup...blue Kleenex hanging out of her mouth and she is just cracking up over this!!  I fished out as much as I could and figured she'd just poop out the rest...not much I could do about it now.  I told her teachers all of this and they thought it was hysterical...maybe I will too...tomorrow...I need a nap...
