Morning!

Re: Morning!

  • Good morning. :) This weekend flew by!

I'm sick. :( I have to call my dr & see what I can take since I'm nursing. blah. I hate being sick.

  • Oh I almost forgot! I took my car on saturday to get an oil change. On site they have a barbershop, salon & massage. Well the oil change was going to take 2 hrs (they were rotating the tires too) so my advisor gave me a coupon for a free massage!

    Omg it was heaven. HEAVEN.

  • Happy Monday!

Had a nice weekend...date night Friday night which was nice.  Went out to dinner then to BRU to pick up a bunch of stuff.  Saturday Sarah had her class at the Little Gym and the rest of the day was spent just hanging out, which was kinda nice. Yesterday DH took Sarah to run errands while I ran to Sam's to exchange my glasses then off to WalMart to pick up some things.  We watched the Oscars last night - don't usually but we thought it was pretty good!  Not sure why the LA Times slammed it...

Nothing big going on today...just a "regular" day.

Brandy - the massage sounds awesome!  That's a great idea to have that kind of stuff at an oil change place!!  How clever!

  • I forgot!  We started Sarah on whole milk this weekend!! We're up to about a 50/50 mix and she's been doing great with it!  Soon we won't have to worry about formula ever again!  Wooohoooo!

  • Good morning. Not much going on. Just did home work and some housework this weekend. Went to the IL's house for dinner last night, so it was nice not having to cook.
  • Good morning. I didn't do much of anything this weekend. My il's came over yesterday and thats about it. Today I have Mary's 2 month doc visit. She's getting shots so I'm not looking forward to it.

I can't believe she is already 2 months old! Where has the time gone?

  • Since dh was gone all weekend I pretty much relaxed. Saturday- I went to a bridal shower and then some errands. Sunday- church and shopping with a friend. I found some cute shoes and got my ring cleaned.

Brandy- that's awesome that they have that all in one place. Hope you feel better soon.

  • I also bought some books. I started one last night and it is already so good that I stayed up later than normal reading it. So, I am tired today.

  • Morning! Weekend was nice and relaxing which I really needed!

Friday went out to dinner and crashed early

Saturday - Went to the OC nestie GTG then had a few of H's friends. I got to hang out with H's best man's fiance and offered to help her with her invitations and wedding stationary since I love doing that stuff so I'm excited.

Sunday - Lounged, caught up on google reader and DVR, BBQ'd and burnt the sweet potato fries I was so looking forward to eating Sad

Nothing exciting going on today but if I'm not too tired after work we may go check out some flooring places.

  • Been a long time since I posted anything.  My weekend was great!  Turned 35 (yikes!!) on Sat so celebrated with the fam then went out with some friends and my hubby.  Had a great birthday!

Sun was pretty much spent recovering from Sat!

I have no idea. It has really flown by.

Robyn-What books did you get? Did you figure out which one you wanted from the blog?

  • Robyn: what are you reading?

Kristy: Cameron's appt is this Friday. :p I hope he doesn't cry. He didn't cry when they poked his foot. The nurse said that was good because most babies cry.

  • Hopefully he won't. I think Mary will though. She cried when they did the foot big time!

Are you holding off on any of the shots or are you sticking to the doctors schedule??

Nope, I never found out who it was. I ended up remembering there was another book I said I was going to read and that never ended up buying. It was the "Winter Rose" by Jennifer Donnelly. I read her first one, "Tea Rose" it I loved it. So far the second one is just as good!

I also picked "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. I am trying to go read all of her books.

  • Morning! I had a really good weekend. Got my hair done and I LOVE it! We also scored a great deal on some new swings for L and he loves them. We got a cradle swing and he naps in it so I can get away with not holding him, its awesome.

Brandy - Yay for the massage, sounds freaking fantastic at the moment. I had a cold last week and just suffered thru it :( You can take sudafed, but it can reduce your milk supply. Hopefully your doc has some suggestions!

Kristy - I have that appt next week. Hopefully it wont be too bad!

  • Kristy: I'm kind of torn on what to do. Cameron's insurance doesn't go into effect until after we get his 2 month check up. So we can either pay $45 to get his shots at the drs office or go to the fire dept & get them for free. Why, you don't want Mary to get them?
  • 4 shots seems like so much to give such a little body. I am thinking I don't want her to get more than 2 shots per visit. I am also leary of autism. I know that most people blame shots for it.
  • I don't know. I'm usually pretty open minded about scientific research but I'm not sure how I feel about that link. Then again, I haven't read enough about it to take a strong enough stand against it.

Sounds silly but they just aired an episode regarding autism & vaccines. The "mother" had 3 sons. The first was autistic & blamed the vaccines so she didn't give her other 2 boys vaccines. Well the middle child caught the measles & ended up passing away because he wasn't strong enough to fight the disease.

  • I was bawling.

It's definitly not a light decision to make but at the end of the day. what's the lesser of the two evils? I'm paranoid enough that Cameron doesn't have ins right now. I was worried because he was fussy about 2 weeks ago & finally I just took him into the dr & just paid cash for the visit. It turned out he had a cold. So I guess just trust your gut. if you feel mroe comfortable spreading out her shots then do it. I just want him up to date before he starts daycare. He starts on monday.

  • Well...I talked to the doctor about it and decided to just go ahead and stick with their shot schedule. She had 3 shots and one oral. She was not a happy camper at all. It was a whole new kind of scream. :(
  • Kristy-Poor Mary, it breaks my heart to hear them cry over the shots.  Especially b/c I'm no better at receiving them myself.

Brandy-You are living it up in AZ aren't you girl?

  • We have discussed the immunization/autism connection A LOT in my different developmental classes. In fact we were just talking about it last week, and the bottom line is there is NO conclusive evidence whatsoever that immunizations cause autism. It's more a bunch of media hype. Any correlation is more likely from the fact that first signs of autism become more apparent about the same age that the immunizations are finished, and people put the wrong 2+2 together. It really isn't worth not immunizing a baby

  • Thats pretty much what my doc said so I got them. She said they had 3 kids die last month because the parents refused the shots.
  • That's just beyond tragic. :(
